2022

You may be thinking, "Aubrey, is it because of the new year that you have decided to combine all your old blogs into one new one and this is some kind of resolution? Well, it's not. I've been thinking about revamping my blog for a while now. I needed something more hobby-ish to devote some time to and writing is therapeutic. So, now you may be asking, "Do you have any resolutions for 2022, if not the blog?" The answer to that one is yes. These resolutions are probably going to seem a little less traditional but who cares, right? I have resolutions in three categories; spiritual, relationships, health. Yes, I know these are like the most standard categories for resolutions to fall into. However, the resolutions themselves are lacking in tradition.

SPIRITUAL:

1. Not to read the whole Bible in a year

"What??? Aubrey, are you thinking straight?" I can hear your thoughts through the computer (I'm just cool like that lol) Every year I resolve to read the Bible in a year and every year when I inevitably fail I give up and stop reading almost altogether. Well, this year my goal is consistency and depth. I want to read consistently and I want to understand what I am reading better. This means probably not getting through the whole Bible in a year. Thus, this resolution removes the pressure and fear of failure that keeps me from digging into the Word more.

2. Extra reading

I want to read more books by pastors and Christian authors this year to help me grow in my faith. A little less weird and a little less thought through but still good lol.

RELATIONSHIPS:

1. Intentionality

As I get older I have to juggle more types of relationships and because of that, last year I accidentally hurt some of the people closest to me. My goal this year is to learn how to balance all of those relationships and be intentional in keeping all of them healthy and good.

2. Positivity

My other relationship-themed resolution for this year is to form a more positive opinion of myself. My relationship with myself has gotten so much better over the last year but there is still a lot of work to do :)

HEALTH:

1. Food

My body is intolerant to so many types of food but I mostly ignore it and eat whatever I want because it's too much work. Well, it's gotten to a point where even if I get enough sleep and do all the right things (outside of eating right) I am still exhausted and I think this is part of the problem. My goal is not to do a diet 180 but just to make better choices more often so I am less tired.

2. Sleep

I am fresh out of college and 21. Enough said.

Hopefully, that wasn't too boring and you think my goals are, like so much cooler than yours lol.
